I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with private practices in both New York City and Rhinebeck, NY. I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Rutgers University and then my Internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center. I was on the Columbia Faculty for several years before entering private practice full time. I am invested in helping people find the deeper happiness and meaning they seek and believe people have the power to create fulfillment in their lives.
People work with me for many reasons including: anxiety, low mood, self esteem, relationship issues, family of origin issues, mood swings, impulsivity, LGBTQ Mental Health related concerns, spirituality/religion and professional clinical supervision.
I strive to provide an open, non-judgmental space for individuals of any race, culture, religion, gender, sexual orientation and/or ability to begin to explore important life questions and develop new ways of being and coping. I am happy to speak with you by phone to discuss your needs, set up an appointment, or provide a referral.
SERVICES
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
IFS is an evidence based individual therapy that rests on the idea that we all naturally have many internal parts functioning in different ways to protect us and help navigate our world. This mindfulness based treatment helps guide the process of understanding how different parts of you may be functioning well or getting in your way. It will help generate increased self compassion while accessing your core Self's natural ability to heal and guide you forward.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) are both evidence based therapies that integrate mindfulness and meditation practices with techniques designed to help you make connections between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. They are designed to help you learn to make more skillful choices to manage mood and behavior.
GROUP THERAPY
DBT Skills Training is a therapy workshop for any individual 18 or over that teaches skills to improve mindfulness, regulate emotions, improve communication and decrease impulsivity.
The LGBTQIA+ DBT Group is a standard DBT skills training group designed especially for individuals who identify as part of the community to be able to learn skills in a supportive and affirmative space with peers.
